This 5-session beginner course is for those who want to learn the basics of hand-built ceramics in a friendly, small-group creative workshop. No prior experience is necessary.
What will you learn?
During the five sessions, we will try out several hand-building techniques, so you can gain a solid foundation to confidently create independently later on. In this course, we will explore:
– pinch pot making
– slab building
– coil building
– hollowing technique
– a surprise technique
In addition to forming, you will also learn about decorating and surface treatment of ceramics. We will try out engobing, underglaze painting, and glazing, so you can follow the creative process from raw clay all the way to the finished ceramic piece.
What does the participation fee include?
The course price includes all necessary materials, use of tools, engobes, underglaze paints and glazes, and all firings.
On Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

Payment: The course fee is payable in full at the first session, in cash or by bank card.
Important information
Absence: One session can be made up at a later date after prior arrangement. The course is for a small group, and places are reserved in advance for participants, therefore the participation fee applies to the entire course, and we are unable to reduce or refund it in case of non-attendance.
If you are unable to attend the course, please notify us at least one week before the scheduled date. In case of cancellation or no-show within one week, 50% of the workshop fee will be charged and invoiced retrospectively.
